    Blackpool Tower turns purple for Cadbury’s 200th anniversary

    On Monday, 4 March, the nation’s biggest chocolate brand, celebrated its 200th anniversary. To help mark the occasion, Cadbury was delighted to partner with Merlin Entertainments to turn the famous Blackpool Tower Cadbury purple for an evening.

    Former Footballer Charlie Adam took part in the celebrations, switching on the famous tower lights. Commenting on the event, Connor Gould from Mondelēz International said that: “It has been fantastic to partner with The Blackpool Tower & Merlin Entertainments to bring Cadbury’s 200th anniversary to life at such an iconic British landmark. We are looking forward to the year ahead as we continue to celebrate Cadbury belonging to our nation for 200 years.”

    A Spokesperson from The Blackpool Tower added: “It’s been a privilege working alongside the team at Cadbury, and to see two iconic brands coming together to celebrate this landmark moment with a light up. This year The Blackpool Tower will celebrate its 130th year and this partnership has certainly kicked our year off in style. Happy 200th Anniversary to Cadbury from all at The Blackpool Tower!”
