    Hancocks revamps Bristol store

Keading confectionery wholesaler Hancocks is welcoming retail customers to its revamped store in Bristol.

The store located in Avonmouth has been given a fresh new look with improved customer experience.

The refurbishment is part of the company’s ongoing improvement plan across its 14 UK depots.

New changes include implementing clear signage, branded aisles and specialist areas which make it easier for customers to find what they’re looking for.

The wholesaler has aimed to provide new and existing customers more efficient in-store navigation from the moment they enter until they reach the checkout.

Retailers are offered a more supermarket-format shopping experience with directional signs on the tops of all aisles.

The depot has new specialist areas, called out by headers and banners, including bestsellers, multi-buy options, new products, vegan sweets, kids novelty, sweet deals and clearance.

Bigger brands also have specific sections and aisles, with promotional screens, display examples and branded baseboards showcasing offers.

Current deals can be found from the QR code on the welcome board or in the sweet deals area near till points, alongside a large clearance section.

Customers can now get a better understanding of the products, as certain pick-n-mix and ice lolly lines are available to try before buying, and boxed products now have a ‘look what’s in the box’ label which clearly shows what sweets are included in the box.

The well-stocked aisles at the revamped depot can provide inspiration for how retailers can display the products in their stores.

The refurbishment plan also includes more training for the staff so they can provide the best service possible and help with any queries.

Jonathan Summerley, chief operating officer at Hancocks said: “We’re happy to announce that our Hancocks store in Bristol is ready to welcome new and existing trade customers.

“Our goal is to give retailers as customer-friendly an experience as possible, with new signage, branded aisles and try-before-you-buy lines.

“The store has been redesigned in a supermarket format with directional signs on top of aisles, which makes it easier for new customers to find what they’re looking for.

“The Bristol depot is the second Hancocks store to undergo a refurb and eventually we’re hoping to roll out the improvement plan in all our stores across the UK.

“Retailers coming to shop in-store are also offered weekly special offers taking place every Thursday.”
