Yoplait has announced the launch of a new limited edition Star Wars Frubes range, ahead of the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, in cinemas 19 December.

Each tube and Frubes box, set to hit shelves at the end August, will resemble a different coloured lightsaber giving kids the chance to be inspired by their favourite Jedi.

The General Mills-owned brand has also teamed up with Disney to launch an on-pack competition, giving shoppers the chance to win a trip to Orlando, Florida to visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, the all-new land at Walt Disney World Resort.

The new Frubes Star Wars range will also carry the Disney Kitchen design on its packs. The brand said it has met a number of Disney’s requirements, such as its everyday nutritional guidelines, product quality and integrity checks and International Labour Standards, to be able to display the design.

“Frubes are perfect for lunchboxes and after school snacks as we know that children love the tasty fruity flavours, and now they can have even more fun with our Star Wars-inspired tubes. We’re really excited about this collaboration and are confident it will encourage kids to play,” said Rosanne McDonnell, brand manager for Frubes.

A great lower sugar option, the nine-pack variety Frubes tubes are a source of calcium and vitamin D, with natural flavouring and no added colours.

The launch will be supported by an updated TV advert and VOD. The limited-edition packs will be available from 26 August until the end of September.
