    Y International joins Unitas Wholesale

    Unitas Wholesale has confirmed that Y International limited will be joining the Group with immediate effect. Y International is based out of Aston, Birmingham, and is an independent buying arm of the Lulu Group which owns and operates more than 200 retail stores across the Middle East and India. With a turnover of c. £35 million, Y International deals in grocery, impulse, chilled and frozen and non-food products including health and beauty, and pet foods, across their store network. Y International is currently trading with over 70 supplier partners of Unitas Wholesale.

    “We are delighted that Y International has decided to join the Unitas Wholesale family and welcome them to the Group. We are looking forward to working with Y International to support them in growing and developing their business into the future,” said John Kinney, Managing Director of Unitas Wholesale.

    “Our business has seen growth over the years, and we will continue to do so,” added Tony Perks, Operations Director of Y International. “To aid our future strategic plans the Unitas Wholesale model provides a perfect partnership for our needs”

    Y International is the latest independent to join Unitas Wholesale following recent new members Albion Fine Foods, Primo Drinks, Drink Warehouse UK and K D Wholesale. The Group receives around 12 enquiries per week from potential members and adopts a robust membership criteria to ensure that the benefits of joining add value for the wholesaler, the Group and also its supplier partners. Therefore, not all enquiries result in membership being offered.
