SPAR wholesaler James Hall revamps own brand sandwich range

James Hall & Co, SPAR wholesaler for the north of England, has unveiled a revamp for its own brand SPAR sandwich offering.

Three new flavours have been added to the range, alongside a pack refresh.

“We have refreshed the packaging of 20 SPAR brand sandwiches, helping customer favourites to stand out on the shelf, create theatre in-store and complement our existing range of food-to-go items,” commented Peter Dodding, sales and marketing director at James Hall & Co.

The new flavours – Simply Bacon, Mega Breakfast and Mixed Triple – features a variety of bacon, chicken and ham sandwiches.

Dodding said the wholesaler will make available a selection of 12 sandwiches for SPAR retailers to order on three week cycles.

Each cycle will include four flavours, which will be replaced with another four once the period is over. The first wave of flavours available will be simply chicken and sweetcorn; smoked ham and egg sub; spicy cheese and coleslaw and curried egg.

“James Hall & Co already offer a fantastic sandwich range for independent SPAR retailers and we are confident that the refreshed packaging will help retailers to maximise their sandwich offering, and present a varied range of traditional favourites and exciting new fusion flavours for customers to enjoy,” Dodding added.

The a Lancashire based company produces over 21,000 sandwiches a day at its Preston distribution centre, serving a network of over 600 independent and company owned SPAR stores.
