Baked snack pioneers Pep & Lekker will be introducing a new look, new recipes and two sweet-themed additions to its Seed Snacks range.
The brand, launched in Autumn 2018, will see new fully compostable snacking pouches, and some new improved higher protein/lower sugar savoury flavours: Fennel &Chia Seed, Cumin &Linseed and Rosemary & Hemp in July.
The brand will also be foraying into sweet-themed snacking with two new flavours: Cacao & Coconut and Apple & Cinnamon.
“Whilst overjoyed with the success we’ve enjoyed in our first year of trading in nutritiously empowered snacks, we realised that there was so much more we could do to broaden our appeal yet further,” said Susan Gafsen, co-founder.
“We’ve added sweet-themed flavours to our seedy snack repertoire so we can appeal to a wider/younger audience (on-the-go nibble, lunchbox extra, tea time treat’) without compromising on our full-bodied flavours and healthy convictions.”
The brand has also removed sesame seeds to make each and every pouch free from all 14 allergens.
Appealing to vegans, coelaics, flexitarians and everyday fine snacking aficionados, the snacks have been diligently baked, (not fried) using apple puree and chicory root fibre as the essential ‘binding’ agents to minimise the need for any unsavoury high calorie oils.
