Leading snacking company pladis has appointed A. Salman Amin as global chief executive officer. He will assume the the mantle in February.
Amin joins pladis from SC Johnson & Son where he served as the global chief operating officer of global commercial division. In a career spanning 30 years, he worked at multinationals like PepsiCo and Procter & Gamble.
Commenting on the appointment, Murat Ulker, chairman of Yildiz Holding, said: “pladis is just over two years old and already we’re fast becoming a global snacking leader. With Salman’s proven track record in driving transformation and growth among global FMCG players, we’re delighted to welcome him to lead our ambitious and entrepreneurial team.”
Previous to joining SC Johnson, Amin was PepsiCo’s chief marketing officer and also held significant roles across the business including president of the United Kingdom & Ireland division during his 17 years at the company. At Procter & Gamble, he spent 10 years working in the United States, Germany, Saudi Arabia and Switzerland.
