Sales on the up for retailer Peter Patel

    Pete Patel

Inspired by the success of his two stores following a switch to Costcutter, retailer Peter Patel is all set to bring a third store over to the symbol group this month.

Weekly sales at his Costcutter Brentwood store have seen an increase of 23 percent and his Brockley site, which he transformed with Costcutter in December 2018, of over 50 percent.

“2020 has certainly started with a bang for us. The two stores we’ve already brought over to Costcutter are seeing tremendous growth,” Peter said.

Plans are in place to hit the ground running as soon as his Heanor, Derbyshire store transfers to the group, with Peter and the team at Costcutter Supermarkets Group using the shopper insights and data provided through CSG’s Shopper First: Drive Five to Thrive business growth programme to review the entire store.

“We’re excited to be bringing our Heanor store over to the group and, with finances secured to make the necessary changes over the next few months, our plan is to use the data, insights and knowledge CSG can share to replicate the successes we’re seeing at our other stores,” Peter added.
