Rollover’s charity partnership with SPAR Scotland raises £4,000 to Marie Curie

SPAR Scotland and popular hot dog supplier Rollover have donated £4,000 to Marie Curie, SPAR’s national charity partner, following a successful promotion in all SPAR Scotland company owned stores during December.

In addition to the £2,000 from Rollover, SPAR Scotland match-funded the donation and provided a further £2,000.

“It was great to partner with Rollover on this campaign to help our national charity partner Marie Curie. By working together, we were able to boost sales whilst raising vital funds for Marie Curie,” Stephen Brown, head of food to go at SPAR Scotland, said.

David Dewhurst, regional manager for Scotland at Rollover added: “I am so pleased the success of our promotion and partnership with SPAR Scotland has benefitted a great cause and charity – Marie Curie. A big thank you to all our customers who supported us by buying our hotdogs and to SPAR Scotland for partnering with us and for match-funding the donation.”

The SPAR Scotland team at the Dundee depot also did some extra fundraising over the Christmas period and raised £600 from the staff Christmas raffle.

SPAR UK has raised £2 million for Marie Curie since the national charity partnership began in 2017, the equivalent of 100,000 hours of care from a Marie Curie Nurse.
