Republic Technologies introduces new ranges of Zig-Zag household lighters

Republic Technologies has launched three new ranges of Zig-Zag household lighters.

The firm said the Utility Lighters, Kitchen Lighters and Candle Lighters will help to make the most of cross-category sales.

“Republic Technologies is the No.1 supplier of utility lighters in the UK’s £5m market*1, which is growing at +4% YoY, and the latest new products from our iconic Zig-Zag brand are perfectly placed to build on this success, giving retailers an opportunity to create an impactful display and drive sales within the category,” commented Gavin Anderson, general sales manager at Republic Technologies (UK).

“The UK candle lighters market is currently worth £432,000 and following the recent withdrawal of the biggest supplier of candle lighters, there’s a gap in the market for retailers to invest in a proven supplier of quality lighters to bring sales and growth to the category.”

Available now, each product conforms to the highest safety specification, ISO 22702:2018. Each range (RRP: £1) comes in five colours and is available in shelf ready packaging to increase visibility with a standout display.

While Utility Lighters and Kitchen Lighters are available in 12 blister packs, Candle Lighters come in blister packs containing 18 pieces.

The firm urged retailers to dual-site each range with related categories to drive sales and encourage impulse purchases.

“Shoppers are looking for quality, safety assurance and value in household lighters and these products deliver on all three,” Anderson concluded.
