Reckitt and Essity, two leaders in the hygiene and health sector, have announced a new collaboration, launching a range of co-branded disinfection products.

The collaboration combines the scale and experience of Essity’s leading professional hygiene brand Tork with the Dettol and Sagrotan brands from Reckitt, the leading disinfectant manufacturer in the world.

The new range, intended for professional hygiene customers, will be available as of January 2023 across the UK, Ireland, Germany and Austria.

The co-branded range of products includes an Antibacterial Multipurpose Cleaner Spray, an Antimicrobial Foam Soap and a Hand Sanitiser Gel for use in Tork dispensers.

The companies said the collaboration will provide customers with an expanded assortment of products that are critical in breaking the chain of infection, as hygiene expectations from the public have shifted dramatically in the aftermath of Covod-19 pandemic.

“Combining Essity’s expertise in professional hygiene with Reckitt’s deep experience in disinfecting spaces will give our customers additional confidence in their hygiene efforts. Together we’re helping customers to demonstrate that they care about creating hygienically clean environments by using trusted and effective disinfecting products,” said Don Lewis, President at Essity Professional Hygiene

Vijayanand Sinha, SVP New Growth Platforms, at Reckitt, added: “Our brands are built on trust, scientific efficacy, and our desire to educate people around the world to help break the chain of infection. This is an ideal partnership for reckitt as it enables us to expand access to our products in new places and spaces with essity’s expertise and market knowledge. Together we can raise the bar on hygiene standards in the pursuit of a cleaner healthier world.”

The packaging of the product range is designed to minimise waste. The Antibacterial Multipurpose Cleaner spray comes in a fully recyclable bottle and trigger and is manufactured with zero waste to landfill. The soap and sanitiser products have recyclable and collapsible bottles.
