Debbie Harrison, joint managing director of wholesaler Pricecheck, has been named on the Queen’s New Year Honours list 2022.

She has been awarded an OBE for her service to international trade. Named by the Department for International Trade as an ‘Export Champion’, she works closely with the department to inspire other businesses to export, share best practices and fly the flag for British business.

Food industry leaders, retail workers received honours in New Year’s list

“We couldn’t be happier for Debbie, receiving an OBE is such an amazing achievement, but gracious as ever Debbie insists it is recognition for the whole team and that each and every one of us had a part to play,” the Sheffield-based wholesaler said in a statement.

Harrison, who leads Pricecheck alongside her brother Mark Lythe, has played a major role in transforming the family run business from a turnover of £17 million in 2007 to more than £100m.
