PayPoint selects Moki system for deployment of next generation point-of-sale terminals

PAYPOINT, the payment services company, has selected Moki’s Total Control system to manage the deployment of its next generation of Point-of-Sale terminals in the UK and internationally. The PayPoint retail network across the UK numbers over 27,800 local shops, where it processes energy meter pre-payments, bill payments, benefit payments, mobile phone top-ups, transport tickets, BBC TV licenses, cash withdrawals and a range of other transactions.
PayPoint – who handle over £14 billion from over 800 million transactions annually – has chosen Moki to implement and scale a new generation of industry-grade payment platform terminals. Moki Total Control will provide the remote management, security and policy-based compliance of all PayPoint’s in-store payment devices, enabling PayPoint to upgrade payments infrastructure, deploy innovative new services, generate more transactions and better extract and analyse data. The agreement covers deployment of Moki software to those outlets in PayPoint’s retail network that need stand-alone terminals and also allows for substantial growth, as needed.
Moki had previously worked with PayPoint to help with terminal design and supplier shortlisting to meet the demanding specifications. PayPoint’s customers include major financial services companies, retailers, utilities providers, media, e-commerce and gaming clients and government agencies.
