PayPoint has announced a new partnership with RingGo to provide drivers the option to pay for parking in-store.
The RingGo Retail offering is available in more than 400 towns and cities. It allows the retailer to enter the details of the customer’s parking session, enabling motorists to pay touch-free.
Danny Vant, client services director at PayPoint, said: “Accepting RingGo payments across our network of 27,000 retailers is another example of how we are transforming convenience for both retailers and consumers. We’re proud of this new partnership as it offers greater accessibility to drivers everywhere.”
RingGo said the solution is designed to aid social inclusion by allowing all drivers to pay for parking regardless of smartphone ownership. Each of RingGo’s local authority and private parking operators has the option of using it as they wish, allowing them to remove or reduce their historic reliance on pay-and-display machines.
Peter O’Driscoll, RingGo’s managing director, said: “With the addition of RingGo Retail, at no additional cost to providers, we’ve created an inclusive solution that allows people without smartphones access to paid parking.”
Part of the BMW/Mercedes NOW group, RingGo is a leading cashless parking provider with over 16 million users.
