    Parfetts poaches Booker top manager

The parent company of Go Local, Parfetts, has appointed Richard Fleming as head of operations of the west, stated recent reports.

Fleming joins Parfett after leaving Booker, where he held several senior positions for over 10 years.

Prior to Booker, he had reportedly spent 10 years working at Burger King and held the position of director of operations at Malbrek Limited.

In his new position, Fleming will be responsible for ensuring the cash and carry operations in its depots in Anfield, Stockport and Aintree. He will report to wholesale director Andy Whitworth.

Commenting on his appointment, Fleming said he is “looking forward to working with the fantastic teams across the depots and meeting customers across the region”.

“Richard brings a wealth of experience to this new role. He joins the business at an exciting time as the Go Local and The Local Brands expand throughout the North West,” reports quoted Whitworth as saying.

“Our delivered offer, which allows retailers to order up until midday for next day delivery, is proving hugely popular with new and existing customers.”

Parfetts operates across the Midlands, the North and Wales through a national logistics network, digital channels and seven wholesale depots.
