Crawford’s supermarket in Northern Ireland successfully installed Evolution, Nisa’s bespoke EPoS system.
The retailer, a Nisa member since the 1980s, is one of Nisa’s biggest independent clients with 19 tills on site.
Owner Jonathan Crawford said: “The installation has gone really well. I have changed systems five times in 18 years and I must say, this has been the easiest. We had a few small things to iron out but it went incredibly well and I am delighted with it.”
Complete with media screens at the 10 belted checkout till points, Evolution gives the 26,000 sq ft store a hi-tech look and feel.
The stock control and ordering functions it offers in the back office are making daily business far easier, Crawford said.
Crawford’s, situated in the town of Maghera, is spread over two floors and incorporates a separate newsagents, off-licence and cafeteria as well as other services, meaning the new EPoS solution is critical to the success of the busy, independently run business.
Chris Chadwick, IT Service Delivery Manager for Nisa, added: “Evolution is all about making it easier for our members to focus on other areas in their store. Automation is the key USP for Evolution – it frees retailers up, enabling them to concentrate their efforts on other things in their business. Our aim is to save them time and money.
“The installation of Evolution at Crawford’s was our biggest to date and for it to have gone so smoothly and to be working so efficiently for them really is a fantastic result for the team as well as for the member.”
