Latest world food category promotional activity from Nisa will focus on the Mediterranean this month.
Launched in stores this week, the Viva Italia event continues the foreign food theme at Nisa that last month concentrated on Chinese dining to tie in with Chinese New Year celebrations.
A selection of competitive deals is being offered on key ingredients for home cooking of Italian dishes as well as Italian beer.
Ian Redhead, trading controller at Nisa, said: “We have been experiencing continued success in the promotional activity of the world food category and the intention is to rotate a number of different cuisines throughout the year.
“Italian dining is a firm family favourite with some great meal solution options for shoppers and we are tapping into this shopper mission to help retailers increase sales and ensure their customers have just what they need when they go into the store looking for inspiration.”
Deals available include a wide selection of Dolmio and Lloyd Grossman pasta sauce jars all priced at £1 to match with Barilla dried pasta packs of penne, fusilli or spaghetti 500g for £1. And shoppers can enjoy Peroni 330ml 4pk for £5 or 330ml Birra Moretti 4pk for £4.50.
The Viva Italia event runs from 11 February until 3 March.
