NFRN hands over more than £20,000 in two weeks from its Hardship Fund

NFRN has revealed that it has paid out over £20,000 within two weeks of the launch of its Covid-19 Hardship Fund.

Unveiled on 6 April, the Fund aims to alleviate some of the financial pressures that independent retailers may be facing.

NFRN said 15 businesses have so far received financial assistance from the Fund, with average pay out being £1,206.

“I am incredibly proud of our hardship fund and that we have been able to step in to help members so quickly,” commented Stuart Reddish, national president of NFRN. “We will continue to support all of our members throughout these highly-challenging and unprecedented times.”

The Fund offers financial assistance in the form of a grant to NFRN members – up to a maximum of £2,000 – suffering cash flow and other financial challenges.
