Loch Lomond Whiskies has agreed a new partnership with the WGC HSBC Champions golf tournament for 2019.
The event, which takes place at the Sheshan International Golf Club in Shanghai, China, is one of the four World Golf Championship (WGC) tournaments, boasting one of the strongest fields in men’s professional golf.
Visitors will have the chance to sample a variety of Loch Lomond Whiskies’ single malts throughout the four-day tournament that starts today (31 October).
“China is a key market for Loch Lomond Whiskies and we are delighted with our growth there. The interest in golf is also increasing rapidly in China so we are pleased to partner with the tournament and to be able to introduce our award-winning brands to China’s ever expanding golfing community,” said Colin Matthews, chief excutive of Loch Lomond Group.
The new partnership builds on Loch Lomond Whiskies’ existing golf sponsorships: the independent Scotch whisky distiller is the Official Spirit of The Open, AIG Women’s British Open and ASI Ladies Scottish Open.
Loch Lomond Whiskies also has ambassador relationships with golf legends Colin Montgomerie, Darren Clarke and Cristie Kerr, each of whom has their own signature limited edition single malt crafted by Loch Lomond Whiskies’ Master Blender, Michael Henry.
