Kind Snacks announced the launch of two new bars set to join the range from April. The new additions, Dark Chocolate Almond Mint and Pomegranate Blueberry have already secured strong early supermarket support with listings confirmed in 227 Sainsbury’s stores as well as Waitrose and BP stores from April 25.
The brand, which is on a mission to provide convenient, nutritious snacks using whole food ingredients saw over 150% growth YOY in 2017.
Dark Chocolate Almond Mint features almonds and cashews sprinkled with peppermint leaves and drizzled in dark chocolate. Each bar contains only 5g total sugar and this addition is over 40% less sugar than competitor snack bars, claimed the company in a statement.
A UK first, Pomegranate Blueberry Pistachio has a delightfully chewy blend of bright fruits and nuts bound together in honey to cater to the everyday ‘3pm slump’ snacker. With 55% nuts it aims to keep the UK consumer fuller for longer as well as being gluten & dairy free.
John McManus, UK Marketing Director said: “We know consumers are hungry for variety and we’re continuing to see increased demand for great tasting, healthy and minimally processed snacks. Traditional cereal bars are laden with sugar that are not necessarily nutrient rich. At Kind, we’re strong believers in providing a quality product that uses ingredients in their whole form. The new Dark Chocolate Almond Mint flavour offers a healthy twist on a UK classic and the Pomegranate Blueberry Pistachio is a UK first, which aims to offer something different in terms of taste”.
Kind offers a range of bars all made with high quality ingredients such as whole nuts, fruits and spices that are not only nutrient dense but deliver on taste. The new additions bring the range up to ten bars, all packed with protein, fibre and heart healthy fats and containing comparatively lower levels of sugar. Each bar in the range is gluten Free and high fibre, with no artificial flavours, colours or preservatives. RRP. £1.29/bar.
