‘Join the Team’: New Red Bull Racing intern programme for young adults

Oracle Red Bull Racing is offering the chance for anyone in the UK to come and “Join The Team”, as part of an exciting new summer internship programme. From esports and gaming, to fan engagement and partnerships, the programme will provide a unique opportunity to see the inner workings of a world championship-winning machine.

Designed to break down any pre-conceived barriers of entry into the motorsport world, the campaign is aiming to demonstrate that people from all walks of life have the chance to work within F1. The six new three-month internships will run over the course of the summer and will see interns housed in the following teams:

    • Esports/gaming
    • Communication
    • Operations
    • Fan Engagement
    • Partnerships
    • Red Bull Relations
    • Hospitality

To further support applicants, several resources will be made available to help educate and assist in their ability to gain employment. This includes the Red Bull Wingfinder, an in-depth personality assessment tool designed to provide guidance around which career path an individual should consider.

As well as this, there will be a dedicated website (redbull.co.uk/jointheteam) whereby visitors can find useful employment presentation tips and tricks to help aid progression in the motorsport industry.

Following last year’s sensational F1 finale, which saw Max Verstappen clinch his first ever World Championship, Oracle Red Bull Racing once again has its eyes set on gold for 2022.

“I think we’re at a hugely important moment in the sport. Due to the greatest season in the last 40 years, last year brought a lot of attention to F1 and we need to capitalise that,” said Oracle Red Bull Racing CEO and Team Principal Christian Horner. “For me, this provides us with a great opportunity the sport more inclusive and offer the next generation a chance to make their way in the industry.

“There are many pre-conceived ideas about working within F1 and that’s why programmes like this are essential – we want to break the walls down, so to speak, and get a large number of fresh faces into Oracle Red Bull Racing and motorsport as a whole.”

To help mark the launch of this campaign, a special edition Red Bull can will be available in all major retailers by the 28th March. The can will include a QR code that users can scan to take them directly to redbull.com to start the application process. To further support retailers, the launch is supported by impactful marketing investment and eye-catching instore point of sale to promote large scale awareness.
