GroceryAid’s annual Gala Ball held at The Grosvenor House Hotel, London on March 9 was certainly a night to remember.
Ticket sales plus monies raised on the night with some amazing lots in the silent auction, combined to raise a jaw dropping total of £550,000.
Chief Executive Steve Barnes commented: “We step changed this event with a move to The Grosvenor, doubling numbers from last year. With many major retailers, wholesalers and suppliers in the room, the industry has certainly done itself proud tonight”.
The new venue meant over 1,100 leaders from across the industry could join together collectively at the event to raise funds for GroceryAid, the charity for the grocery industry.
From the largest factory, to the supply chain, and through to the smallest of stores, GroceryAid helps grocery people all over the UK who have worked, or are working, and who need some extra support to get by.
The event, hosted by comedian Russell Kane, boasted a star studded entertainment line-up of Escala, Filet of Soul and was headlined by Ronan Keating.
The date of the GroceryAid Ball 2019 is confirmed as February 28, Thursday. Companies are urged to book quickly to secure a table at a unique industry event.
