A group of national daily newspapers have teamed up to launch Deliver My Newspaper, a service which gives consumers free newspaper delivery for six weeks.

Consumers simply have to search to see if there is a newsagent which will deliver to their address then register with DeliverMyNewspaper.co.uk to receive free delivery vouchers.

Once consumers have their vouchers they will need to take them to their newsagent and pay for the newspapers.

Two options are available: to have newspapers delivered every day of the week or at weekends only.

Newspapers taking part in this scheme comprise The Sun, The Times, the Daily Mail, the Daily Telegraph, the Guardian and the i.

Retailer Guy Day, owner of Jackie’s News, commented: “It is excellent to see this group of publishers working as one with delivermynewspaper.co.uk. Let’s hope this is the first step of many such collaborations that will all benefit HND.”

A spokesman for Deliver My Newspaper commented: “Home News Delivery is hugely important to independent retailers and we are pleased to announce that the key national newspapers have worked collaboratively to bring an industry first HND website to support home delivery sales.

“The launch of www.delivermynewspaper.co.uk will provide retailers with a platform to promote their home delivery service to their existing non-home delivery customers and gain new customers who may have been unaware that their local shop offer the service.”

Deliver My Newspaper representatives will be visiting HND retailers across the country, briefing them on the website, updating their delivery areas and providing point of sale materials to help encourage visits to the website.
