Food-to-Go brand Rollover expands burger range

Hot Food-to-Go brand Rollover, which is part of Pilgrim’s Food Masters, has expanded its extensive burger range by launching a Cheeseburger and Double Cheeseburger. Rollover’s new cheeseburgers are now available to forecourts, convenience retail stores and food service outlets, including stadiums, across the UK.

The beef patties in both the Cheeseburger and the Double Cheeseburger are quarter pounders (113g), served with slices of cheese in Rollover’s artisanal, hand-finished buns. The beef patties are available in a pre-cooked, frozen format, making them quick and easy to prepare. The cheeseburgers will be served in fully recyclable, biodegradable and compostable packaging made from a combination of wrapping paper and a cardboard tray, which is perfect for retaining the burgers’ temperature and eating on-the-go.

Burgers have great mass appeal. On average, 63 per cent of the population of Great Britain purchase burgers once a month, and they are worth £2.5bn within the food service channel alone.

The Rollover name is already a firm favourite with customers, renowned for its hotdogs which are sold in over 4,500 locations, including nationwide leisure and convenience retail chains, and Premier League football stadiums. The expansion of Rollover’s burger range will offer outlets the opportunity to capitalise on the number one main meal option in the food service, with a brand that is already well-loved with consumers.

“The popularity of burgers has continued to boom over the years and shows no sign of slowing down,” said Elodie Bretz, Head of Marketing. “Now, burgers are the number one main meal in Out of Home so extending our burger range was the natural next step for Rollover.”

The new Cheeseburgers and Double Cheeseburgers are now available in stores and forecourts, including the famous Elland Road stadium, and will soon be rolled out in venues and sports stadiums across the country.

“In early trials with customers, the Cheeseburgers have already proved to be a great success. I’m delighted that football fans can already get their hands on our new Cheeseburgers at Elland Road Stadium, and I look forward to seeing the rollout to forecourts and stores nationwide,” added Bretz.
