Unitas Wholesale has launched the first in the 2019 series of Plan for Profit category guides, which focuses on the core and extended range for the impulse category.
The guide also marks another first, being the inaugural Plan for Profit core range guide issued by Unitas Wholesale since the merger of Landmark Wholesale and the Today’s Group in November 2018.
Today’s Group used to publish the guides, and last of the 2018 series was released by Unitas in late October 2018.
The guide now utilises the combined knowledge and expertise of both independent buying groups.
The new guide includes a full listing of key products that retailers are advised to stock in order to maximise sales and profits within the Impulse category. Guidance is also included on an extended range beyond the core for those stores that have the space to stock a wider range of products.
Key category insights regarding confectionery, crisps and snacks, protein and soft drinks also feature in the guide. The Lifestyle, LSV and Sunspring own label brands are new for this guide.
Retailer can access Plan for Profit via elected Unitas Wholesale member depots, online or through a dedicated app available for free on Google Play or the App Store.
The grocery and non-food and licensed and tobacco editions will be released in summer and late autumn 2019 respectively.
