Elephant Atta has announced a new addition to its range, Elephant Atta Medium with Vitamin D.
The product, available from15 July, is the first atta product in the market high in Vitamin D.
The launch is particularly significant as Public Health England data for 2014-16 has shown that one in five people in the UK have low levels of Vitamin D. People of South Asian heritage are potentially at a higher risk, according to an independent research carried out in 2015.
“The launch of Medium with Vitamin D is advantageous for both our trade customers and consumers,” said Westmill Foods, manufacturer of Elephant Atta Flour, in a statement.
“It enables retailers to leverage health benefits to bring value to the category, whilst helping shoppers to make the best choices for their families with a product that has real health benefits and doesn’t compromise on taste or performance.”
Elephant Atta Medium with Vitamin D 10kg is launching this month with an RRP of £9.49. A 1.5kg pack will be available from September.
