Doritos has announced the launch of a new 300g ‘big bag’ format as part of its Christmas drive. The PepsiCo-owned brand will also feature limited edition festive designs across its sharing formats.
Shoppers will be able to enjoy the new look of snow-capped Doritos and Christmas carol slogans with a Doritos twist, said the brand in a communication.
Ceri Bustin, Doritos Marketing Assistant, commented: “The big night in occasion is worth £1.8billion every year [Kantar] and with people having cosy nights in, get-togethers and parties with friends and family over the festive season, there’s a huge sales opportunity for retailers.
“In recent years we have seen sales of sharing packs double over the Christmas period [Nielsen] and we anticipate that our seasonal packs will really catch the eye of customers as they seek out snacks to enjoy together this Christmas, with the 300g big bag being a great option for larger groups.”
The seasonal look can be found across Tangy Cheese, Cool Original and Chilli Heatwave in 150g and 180g packs, as well as new 300g big bags.
