Fine food distributor Cotswold Fayre has announced the launch of a new export service to meet the overseas demand for artisan products from the UK and Ireland.

The wholesaler has invited its suppliers to become part of the new initiative

“Despite the uncertainty of Brexit, we believe that there remains a huge demand for differentiated products with a British and Irish heritage overseas,” said James McKeown, who heads the export desk.

“By offering an export service to our suppliers, we are able to offer access to expertise, marketing services and an international presence that may be cost prohibitive in isolation.”

The new service follows the launch of its own export brand Ministers of Taste last year.

“By consolidating a number of specialist brands in one place, we are able to offer overseas retailers, importers and distributors a one-stop-shop meeting both their needs and reducing the financial and environmental cost of distribution,” added Paul Hargreaves, chief executive at Cotswold Fayre.
