Co-op recalls two cakes in Irresistible range

A product recall notice shows packs of Co-op Irresistible Carrot Cake and Co-op Irresistible Coffee and Walnut Cake.

Co-op has issued a recall for two Irresistible own brand cake variants due to a possible glass contamination.

Co-op Irresistible Carrot Cake with best before date 14 March 2021 and Co-op Irresistible Coffee and Walnut Cake with best before date 20 March 2021 are being recalled as the possible presence of glass makes these products unsafe to eat.

The retailer would display point of sale notices in all stores that are selling these products, explaining the recall to customers.

Customers who have bought the products are requested to not eat, but return them to the store from where they were bought for a full refund.

If the customer is shielding or otherwise unable to return the product to store, they may contact the customer careline on 0800 0686727 or email [email protected].
