BESTWAY Brighton came out to celebrate the town’s 21st annual Brighton Pride festival with their 2nd Brighton Pride Promotion day on Thursday 1st August.
Deputy Depot Manager Stuart Shaw and his staff created a fun-packed day where all staff members dressed in Hawaiian themed outfits with a prize for the best-dressed employee, won by Kieran Iredale.
Customers were treated to morning barbecue while a fantastic home-made curry was on the menu in the afternoon.
Already a key depot in the Bestway Wholesale Group, Bestway Brighton smashed all records for a day’s trading with an incredible 150% increase in sales over the same day last year and almost 200 customers coming through the doors.
Mr Shaw said: “The Brighton Pride festival is a key event in the local calendar and after the success of last year’s promotional day, we decided that we would try and do it bigger and better this year.
“It is absolutely incredible to have broken all our previous records for a single day’s business and it goes to show what can be achieved by engaging the local community. It would not have been possible without the help of reps, staff and customers so I would like to say a fantastic well done to all those involved.”
